1. General Safety Precautions for Pizza Peel, Turner, Brush & Cleaning Tools

  1. Use each tool only as intended (e.g., peel for handling pizza, brush and scraper for cleaning the oven and stone).
  2. Never insert any of the tools directly into open fire or flames.
  3. Avoid touching the heated oven, tools, or pizza stone with bare hands. Always use heat-resistant gloves.
  4. Keep yourself at a safe distance from the heat source to prevent burns.
  5. Familiarize yourself with each tool before using it to ensure proper handling and prevent accidents.
  6. Do not keep any of the tools inside a heated oven for more than 2–3 seconds at a time to prevent overheating and potential damage.
  7. After baking and cleaning, always ensure that the oven is turned off to avoid accidents and energy wastage.
  8. Keep all tools out of reach of children and pets when not in use. These tools are not toys.
  9. Individuals under the age of 18 should only use these tools under strict adult supervision.
  10. Ensure a firm grip on handles while using tools to prevent slipping and accidents. Always use them on a clean, dry surface.

2. Pizza Oven Brush & Scraper – Safety & Warnings

  1. Use the Pizza Oven Brush and Scraper only for cleaning pizza ovens and pizza stones. Not for commercial use.
  2. Do not insert the brush or scraper directly into flames. Keep away from open fire.
  3. It is recommended to use the brush only after the oven has completely cooled. If you must use it while the oven is still hot, do not leave it inside the oven opening for more than 2–3 seconds at a time.
  4. Always wear heat-resistant gloves when using or handling the brush near a hot oven or stone. Never touch the heated brush, oven, or pizza stone with bare hands.
  5. Avoid using excessive force when brushing or scraping, as this may damage the bristles, scraper, or your pizza stone.

3. ⚠️ Brush Bristle Warning

  1. Inspect Before Each Use: Carefully inspect the bristles and scraper for any damage, excessive wear, or loose bristles.
  2. Do NOT use the brush if any loose or broken bristles are found. Discontinue use and replace the brush immediately.
  3. Check After Each Use: Always check the pizza stone and oven interior for any loose bristles after each use. If you find any, stop using the brush.
  4. Broken bristles can get into the food and cause serious injury if ingested.
  5. We recommend replacing the brush after approximately one year of regular use, or sooner if you notice significant wear or loose bristles.

4. Care Instructions – Pizza Oven Brush & Scraper

  1. Clean After Charring: For easier cleaning of the brush itself, use it primarily after loose pizza toppings, cheese, or other ingredients have been thoroughly charred and turned to ash.
  2. Hand Washing Only:
    1. Always wear rubber gloves when hand washing the tool.
    2. Allow the tool to cool completely before washing.
    3. Clean with warm water and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners to protect surfaces and coatings.
  3. Avoid Dishwasher: Do not place the brush or scraper in the dishwasher.
  4. Thorough Drying: Ensure the entire accessory, especially any wooden handle, is thoroughly dry before storing to prevent mold and deterioration.
  5. Avoid Soaking Wooden Parts: Do not soak wooden handles in water for extended periods to prevent warping and damage.
  6. Proper Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture.

5. Preventing Rust-Like Residue on Stainless-Steel Bristles

Stainless-steel bristles do not rust under normal use. However, during cleaning they can pick up tiny iron particles, ash, or burnt debris from pizza stones and metal oven surfaces. These particles may oxidize after washing and drying, leaving an orange residue that looks like rust. This residue comes from external contamination, not from the bristles themselves.

  1. After each use, rinse the bristles thoroughly under running water to remove debris and loose iron particles.
  2. Dry the brush with the bristles facing down so moisture does not collect at the base.
  3. For best results, gently wipe the dry bristles across a clean paper towel until no orange residue appears.
  4. Store the brush in a dry environment to minimize oxidation of any external residues.

6. How to Use Your Pizza Oven Brush & Scraper

  1. Optional Burn-Off: After baking, you may briefly increase the heat (if your oven allows) to char remaining toppings into ash for easier removal.
  2. Cool-Down for Safety: For your safety and brush longevity, clean the oven once it has cooled. If cleaning while still warm, exercise extreme caution and always wear heat-resistant gloves.
  3. Pre-Use Inspection: Before every cleaning, inspect the brush and scraper for wear or loose bristles (see Brush Bristle Warning).
  4. Scraper First: Use the scraper with gentle but firm pressure to lift stubborn, baked-on residues from the stone and oven interior. Avoid excessive force.
  5. Brush to Finish: Use the brush to sweep ash and loose debris toward the front of the oven or into a designated area. Once cooled, dispose of debris in a heat-proof container.
  6. Final Bristle Check: After cleaning, visually inspect the oven and stone for any stray bristles. If any are found, replace the brush head or the entire brush.

7. Safety Instructions for Pizza Cutter Rocker, Pizza Dough Scraper & Pizza Dough Roller

  1. Ensure a firm grip on handles while using to prevent slipping and accidents. Always use tools on a stable, clean, and dry surface.
  2. Keep all tools out of reach of children and pets when not in use.
  3. Individuals under the age of 18 should only use these tools under strict parental supervision.

10. Troubleshooting

  • Problem: Heavily stuck-on food particles are difficult to remove.
Solution: Allow the food to char further by briefly preheating the oven, then use the scraper gently but firmly before brushing.
  • Problem: Brush becomes very dirty quickly.
Solution: Ensure you are primarily brushing ash and charred remains, not fresh or moist food. Clean and dry the brush as described in the Care Instructions.
  • Problem: Orange residue that looks like rust appears on a cloth or paper towel after cleaning the brush.
Solution: This is usually oxidized debris from the oven, not rusting bristles. Rinse the bristles thoroughly, dry them bristles-down, and wipe on a clean paper towel until no residue appears.
